Bio-Detek is a manufacturing facility that had an existing 800 Amp 120/208-Volt service. Our customer was in need of a cost effective approach for their growing power needs. We provided them with a design build solution upgrading the service to 800 Amp 480-Volt.
We replaced the utility transformer and installed new switchgear and step down transformers to feed the existing 120/208V panels & circuits. We also integrated the existing solar panel array system that was feeding the 208V to allow it to feed the new 480V service for the building. Plus, an automatic transfer switch was installed to allow for a future generator
The project was coordinated and scheduled to allow for the service to the building to be shut down over a single weekend in order to achieve zero downtime for the customer’s manufacturing output.
